Anyone else think the way Utah manages it's wildlife and hunting is a crock of crud? I have been putting in for a turkey tag for 5 years and still have not drawn out... I know a guy that got a tag this year and it was the first time he put in... I also know of people that have drawn out twice in the same time period... WTF is up with that? That should NEVER happen!!! Utah's hunt draw system is worse than the BCS!!!!
Sorry to go off on a tangent, but something needs to be done! |
I do agree with you. I just wonder why you would want to draw for a turkey tag, you are a turkey.
Just Kidding!
But seriously Utah manages it's game the worst of all the western states. That is why those that want to get quality game go to Wy, Co, Ar, Nm and Id. _________________ An aquarium is a hole between sheets of glass that the aquarist fills with money. |

I am studying to be a fisheries biologist and I recently had an interview with Idaho Fish and Game, (Whether I got the position, I am still waiting to hear back) but getting to the point... During this interview it was brought to my attention that the goal of IDFG is to provide an abundance of fish and game for the residents of Idaho and to conserve and maintain the habitat necessary to do so...
Unlike Utah who could care less about it's residents or the quality and or quantity of it's wildlife resources... All they care about is taking your money and they don't even do that themselves, they hire Nevada to do it!!!! To top it off, to get an UDWR summer position you are required to take an internship the first season and they are only willing to pay $25 a day (food allotment) for it... WTF is that all about? Who's pockets are getting lined and where is all the "non-refundable" entry fees and other tag money going?
I gave up on the deer hunt, as they shortened in order to "sell" more tags... Also more gripes on the turkey hunt... They just changed it this year making it even harder for me to draw the hunt I want (by make the hunt all of Northern Utah now, instead of just the Cache early hunt) just to allow them to sell an unlimited number of over the counter tags during a time of year I cannot and do not want to hunt!
The very worst part of it all is, by the time I get around to drawing a tag for something, I most likely will not even be a Utah resident any longer!!!!
Damn it feels good to get that off my chest! _________________ ><////:> <:\\\\>< |
